I apologize for not updating my blog in a little over a week but I was swamped with work and transported into the realm of Spring 2009 Fashion. I never thought I would say this, but man I’m glad that’s over and it’s great to be back to Fall.
During this crazy time I had to pull off long hours and an occasional overnight here and there but what’s interesting is that I have yet to stumble across a fashion site that helps anyone with an extremely limited schedule and a bad case of fashion disaster. Take this example, I stayed over at my boyfriend’s house finishing a project without a minute of sleep and I didn’t have any clothes for work the next day, what’s a girl to do? Or how about this scenario, you’ve been partying all night, went over your alcohol limit during a weekday, you wake up and have to go to work, what the heck will you wear?!
So I decided to compile the extreme fashion help tips! (Bum Day Style)
One thing that I have found that always works for me is having an extra pair of leggings or stockings in my purse and if you don’t have any get some and keep them at your desk, you can make your skirt and outfit look fresh with a new shade or tone of hosiery.
If you have messed up your top or need something clean to wear, I always resort to my boyfriends’ t-shirts and shirts, you can take a shirt wear a belt over it and look chic with a masculine twist. Or… if you work in a casual environment you can have a casual look by adding a t-shirt and a belt over jeans or a skirt.
If you have girlfriends then super kudos to you since finding an outfit won’t be so hard ;)
Now the most difficult part of extreme fashion cases is making yourself appear like you are not a wreck. For this situation you need a Beauty Aid Kit:
-Collect foundation samples or keep a small foundation sample at your desk, if you can score some concealer even better, it works miracles for overnight dark circles.
-Always have tinted lip gloss or lip liner.
- Try to stay away from heavy eye liners they can emphasize under eye puffiness and dark circles.
- Use an eyelash curler and mascara to make your eyes look bigger and awake.
-Also try to use highlighting eye-shadow colors, bright golds, yellows and whites, can make you look awake and add glimmer to your eyes. ( I use a gold green eyeshadow to highlight my eyes)
Last but not least, have tissue with you at all times, sneezing and messing up your make-up is not cute and if you have a bad hangover it can become a lifesaver!
Have any of you been caught in an extreme fashion scenario? What tips would you share?
