On Wednesday I headed to one of my favorite boroughs outside New York City, the diverse and hip, Queens. My boyfriend and I decided to head to Flushing (end of the dreaded 7 train), Flushing is a bustling place and unlike the city’s Chinatown, Flushing is bigger, less crowded and without annoying tourists and knock-off street vendors. While walking towards Joe’s Shanghai we stumbled across Flushing’s new mall, called Queens Crossing, it looks more like an office building and it’s still very empty, however I was surprised to see Mango-MNG in the building. The front of the store faces the main street and all you see are desolate escalators and a few accessories on the street level. I decided to go in and take a trip to the unknown but to my surprise on the second floor, I was greeted by cool music, bored sales associates and a wonderful assortment of Mango’s new pieces. The sales floor is very spacious and easy to navigate, the decor is very pleasant and much brighter in comparison to Soho’s MNG. Although, the Spring clothing looked fresh and the sorbet colors were gorgeous, the accessories were still lacking in the wow factor. I would recommend dropping by if you are around the area, the mall also has a few shops in the hallways, which seemed a bit odd to my western merchandising eye but over-all this place seems to have potential for trendy stores and good dining.
Random closed staircases and pop-up shops are scattered through out the hallways,

this is cool but Queens isnt outide New York City, it’s IN it (one of the 5 boroughs).
