Last week, bloggers, magazines and important newspapers covered one of the biggest fashion events of the world, New York fashion week. As a result, I have decided not to compile a long re-cap since many sources have already done so and I don’t want to sound repetitive, instead I have focused on the best accessories the New York runways had to offer.
1-Hosiery
The trend last season was liquid and shiny leggings along with run-on holes in sheer nylons. However, for next Fall the freshest looks are sequins on lace leggings (Doo.ri) scattered sequins, open holes and retro 80′s prints (Marc Jacobs).
2-Belts
Belts are one of those accessories that disappear and then return with a bang , for next season the newest item is the chain belt or chain details (my favorite Abaete). Another new silhouette is the wide patch on-waist belt from Catherine Malandrino.
3-Hats
3-Hats
Hats have been an important category these past two years and this upcoming Fall, hats get some slight changes, the newest and most popular silhouette has been the skull cap or embellished beanie (Diane Von Furstenberg). Brim hats are still strong but a new look is the embellished Gaucho hat (Alexander Wang). The continuous popularity of trapper hats in fur and toques remain strong but in bright neon colors.

I have to say the tights were some of my favorites – amazing! And so many options! It’s great because tights can really change up an outfit and are cost friendly in most cases.
I also love that hats are coming back, although I really am not a fan of the Alexander Wang ones – surprisingly. I love the Marc by Marc Jacobs ones especially.
TIGHTS!! TIGHTS!!! The Doo.Ri ones are SO amazing.
I am so excited about the chance to extend my love of sparkles to my legs! I need to hit the arts and crafts store!
I liked the yarn, puff-ball hate shown in the DVF show. It was sort of a homage to the puff balls we all had a kids going out to play in the snow.
