Trend Flash: The Supervillainess
By Glendy | October 16, 2009
I’ve always been a fan of Batman and Spiderman, but my interest in these comics were sparked by the beautiful and unique evil female characters portrayed in the stories. The supervillainess is a mysterious, beautiful and over-the-top evil character with an indescribable charm. While planning my Halloween costume, I found inspiration in these evil beauties (I’ll reveal my costume soon, stay tuned!) not only are their costumes amazing and fun but I also gathered a few couture fashion items that represent these special ladies and will inspire your bad self everyday, don’t you feel naughty?

Clutch (Alexander McQueen) Dress (Vicky Martin) , Perfume (Dior Hypnotic Poison)

Comic: Batman
Real Name: Pamela Lillian Isley
Poison Ivy is depicted as one of the world’s most prominent eco-terrorists. She is obsessed with plants, botany, and environmentalism.
She uses toxins from plants and her own bloodstream for her criminal activities, which are usually aimed at protecting the natural environment.
Fellow villain Harley Quinn is her recurring partner-in-crime and possibly her only human friend. (Wiki)

Skirt (Top Shop) Perfume (Lady Vengeance Purse Bullet) Shoes (Christian Louboutin)

Comic: Batman
Real Name: Dr. Harleen Quinzel
Drawn by Dini and Timm, the comic book describes Harley as an Arkham Asylum psychologist who falls in love with the Joker and becomes his accomplice and on-again, off-again girlfriend.
She becomes fascinated with the Joker while interning at Arkham, and volunteers to analyze him. She falls in love nearly instantly with the Joker during their sessions, and she helped him escape from the asylum more than once. When the Joker is returned to Arkham in battered and broken state after a battle with Batman, the sight of the injured Joker drives Harley to don the costume and become Harley Quinn, the Joker’s partner-in-crime. Jacket (Balmain) Clutch (French Connection) Thigh High Boots (Pleaser)

Comic: Spiderman
Real Name: Felicia Hardy
The Black Cat is a skilled (somewhat reformed) cat burglar who is currently an occasional crime fighter and adventurer. Initially, her “cat-like” facade was merely a part of a powerless persona. While she later did gain powers through a combination of science and magic, her current abilities are artificial and mechanically based.
(As spiderman’s jealous ex-girlfriend)
Venom informed her that Peter had married Mary Jane Watson.[20] Angry and jealous, Felicia began harassing the couple, taunting Peter as she dated his friend Flash Thompson.[21] She began physically threatening Mary Jane, confronting her and swearing to ruin their marriage. (Wiki)

Lace rabbit ears (Maison Michel) Tuxedo Jacket (Koodos) Pocket watch (Ernest Jones)

Comic: Spiderman
Real Name: Lorina Dodson
Born from a wealthy family, the girl who would become the White Rabbit grew up in a safe, secure environment and was showered with all the material possessions she desired. However, she was bored, and only found entertainment from old novels, such as Alice in Wonderland, her favorite.
As she grew older, her family married her off to an older gentleman named Lewis Dodson. She eventually had him killed, and used her inheritance to buy various gadgets so that she could experience a life full of danger and excitement. (Wiki)

Dress (La Petite) Cuff (Far Fetch) Shoes (Costume National)

Comic: Batman
Name: Unknown
Red Claw is revealed to be the enigmatic leader of an international terrorist organization named Red Claw, and also known as the “most ruthless terrorist alive”, in Commissioner Gordon’s words.
Working with the company ‘Multigon”, Red Claw plans to buy a wildlife resort to plant a plague virus and use it to blackmail Gotham unless she is paid $1 billion in gold bullion (although she plans to release the plague even if she receives the money). (Wiki)

This post is perfect because I’m going to a Superheroes and Supervillains theme party! I wanted something less typical and I love the White Rabbit costume; a mix of playboy bunny and villain! Great post!
