Hi guys, sorry I’m posting late this week but so much is going on, stay tuned ;) Here’s a quick re-cap of this month’s most interesting fashion spreads in Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazzar and Elle. Note that I found some repetitive trends and some pretty bad fashion spreads, so before you head out to pick up your favorite magazine here’s a peek into what’s hot this month, check them out!
Marie Claire – March 2010
I loved this awesome spread featuring some cool accessories and the recurring gypsy trend, bright and flamboyant prints, yes!
Vogue U.S. – March 2010
Vogue and Marie Claire were both showcasing similar gypsy/ethnic/mix all the prints you can find + all the accessories you can pile on trend, lol.

Elle -March 2010
This is a very beautiful fashion spread, it’s simple but very feminine I loved the combination of lace, crystals and oversized hats :D
Harper’s Bazzar – March 2010
Note: This might be the only U.S. risque spread I came across this month, bad ass criminal chick with guns, robbing banks and getting away with it :>
The annoying repetitive trend: Military/Commando/Camouflage
I don’t know why all the magazines decided to showcase this trend, yes it was big on the runways but I’m not feeling it, this all gives me a migraine to look at, they all look very similar and none of the spreads evoke anything special, got creativity anyone?…. Except EXCEPT Vogue, scroll down ;)

Pretty girls in military gear? check, ummm……hmmmm…. yeah….

My fave (military look) is the amazonian warrior spread thanks to the genius Grace Coddington at Vogue, now this is an interesting twist, don’t you agree?
Much love always,
Glendy

Loves this – thank you for breaking it down doll, so helpful!! ;-)

I feel you – I’m not a big fan of that army green color, or cargo pants, haha. The Amazon warrior look is certainly an interesting interpretation, though!

I’m also not really thrilled with the camo trend offerings. While I heartily agree the Vogue picture is the best of the bunch, it’s not really military camo, but the graphic print and tribal trends (which are inherently more interesting).

Hi lovely, yes Vogue is more tribal but I thought their spin on powerful women with weapons was more amazon warrior rather than the military soldier look, the tribal trends are so strong this upcoming season as in the past year but I think it’ll be more McQueen print inspired this Spring :)
Much love,
Glendy
While I love the whole military trend, it’s so hard to pull off! And yeah, I’m getting tired of seeing it everywhere.
But the Harper’s Bazaar Bonnie and Clyde theme is really great. Definitely my fave!

I loved the bonnie and clyde spread.
I agree with you on the military look.
It is too bland and I for one look like a soccer mom in the cargo spin-offs Gap likes to release each spring.
The amazon warrior is a refreshing interpretation, but a little too “avatar” for me haha. The print on the dress is lovely though.
I bought the March 2010 ELLE, but never even opened it. Now, I have to, that spread is beautiful.
The warrior trend is starting to be a bit much for me as well.

I’m more inclined to pull off the Bonnie and Clyde spread than they military ones. I really can’t pull off the military style, but I like the clean lines with the Bonnie and Clyde spread. I would use more color in it though, make them get away with bank robbery with style!

I agree with you Glendy I like the tribal look more then the military look. Nice post
