I’m back with the latest installment of my crazy Fitting Room Confidential posts, earlier today I headed to the Zac Posen for Target 24-hour party (pop-up shop). The event gives New Yorkers a sneak-peek into the newest Target collabo before it hits stores on April 25th. Check out my picks and review of the collection!

Two Piece Ruffle Dress (red) Price: $79.99
This red dress reminds me a little bit of the H&M garden collection red bloom dress, however Zac Posen created a two-piece version that comes in red and black. It can be worn as a slip dress (click here to see it without the skirt) or you can wear the ruffle skirt over it to make it look more interesting. The concept is great and I only had a problem with the fitting, I tried on a size 5 because it runs small around the bust area. So if your bra size is 34B or bigger, you’ll probably need a larger size since the top doesn’t stretch. Overall, the dress is cute but it’s not something that I haven’t seen before, so if you love red dresses or missed out on the bloom dress, this would be a great option.

Brocade Tie Dress – $74.99
The second dress I tried on was very cute, I loved the brocade fabric and the subtle shimmer finish. This piece can be worn for day or night, I also liked the bow in the front and the neckline. I tried on a size 3 and it fitted perfectly, I would probably alter the hemline since I’m kinda short and it looks long on me. Overall, I would recommend this dress to anyone who needs a classic piece that can be taken from brunch to dinner :)

Halter Dress Black/Gold $49.99
I liked this saucy little piece, the fabric was a soft gold lamé and the fit was wonderful, I tried on a size small and the dress stretches to fit your curves. The only problem I had with this item was figuring out where I would wear it, haha.

The pop-up shop was beautiful, there was a fountain covered with fresh fragrant flowers and various crystal chandeliers illuminating the ceiling. I didn’t buy anything since many of the items I saw on the look-book were already sold out, however the fit of the pieces was great compared to previous Target designer collabos, the prices were manageable but some items were a bit over-priced (e.g. a simple polyester top for $50.00). Some of the old prom music was a bit annoying but the whole experience, including the fitting room service was spectacular!
PS: I also met Amanda at the event, she’s a sweet girl and a fellow blogger, check out her site Mandabear!
Besos,

@ Cid
Thanks love, the red dress looked great but it reminded me too much of the H&M bloom dress :/ however if you like cute ruffles this would be the perfect dress.
Much love,
Glendy
Love the first dress! Really can’t wait to see Zac Posen’s Target collection!

Everything looks great! I have my eye on the snaps dress and black belt. I’d rather have the dress than the $50 shirt version. That girl was so happy to take that off my hands! I have pictures that look kind of the same too ;) Will upload later today. It was awesome meeting you! Since it’s getting warmer out, let’s definitely meet for some bubble tea soon! :)

Yes, at first I thought that was the H&M dress! I’ve never been a huge Zac Posen fan (mostly indifferent to him). These aren’t really wowing me either. Thanks for the review!

Glendy, I LOVE the first pics of you and I LOVE that red dress!! I like the idea of the snap stud dress too. I have to keep an eye on eBay since we don’t get the clothes out here. I’m 34B bust but 36 hips – should I get a size 6, or larger?

The idea of a pop-up store sounds so cool. Were there lots of people there? I might need to check out a Target soon to see this line in person :]

I love that dark gold dress! It would be a great New Year’s Eve dress, too bad that’s passed.
Thank you for the post and for creating a nice site. I have been hunting for savvy info on gardening and can put these recommendations to practice. I have found it hard to find good information, as there are many sites with innaccurate posts. Definitely keep the good stuff flowing!
