I just received a tip about the next upcoming fairytale inspired film scheduled to be released next year, The Girl with the Red Riding Hood. The film will feature Amanda Seyfried, portraying Red Riding Hood and it will be a Gothic visualized version in 3D. It’s being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and will be directed by “Twilight”director Catherine Hardwicke. I’m hoping this film will be better than Alice in Wonderland since I expected much more from Tim Burton but then again I’m not sure what to think about Amanda Seyfried as a Gothic Red Riding Hood, she doesn’t seem “Gothic” or obscure enough for me. I like how the film is also trying to target the Twilight fans by using Catherine as the director for this film, I’ll keep you guys posted as more info is released, in the meantime enjoy my favorite Gothic images from this wonderful fairytale….

Really? I think the true moral of the story is far darker than what we are used to now-a-days but It’ll be interesting to see how the film turn out :)

Thanks for the heads up! I think it’s quite exciting, and as an actress, Amanda should be able to do lots of different characters (it’s just that she’s been cast as the girl next door so far). I’m keen to see how it turns out.
