Yesterday, I headed to H&M to check out the newest fall transitional pieces, I still found some summer items but I looked for versatile pieces that can be transformed into a fall look. Check out my picks!

This ruffle dress is adorable, it has three pastel colors, nude and two tones of pink, the dress that can be worn alone as a late summer piece or with a long cardigan with a belt can for a fall transitional look.

I picked up this dress because I liked the interesting silhouette and tulip shaped skirt. The dress fit me well but I had a problem with the sleeves.  I think it’s a design flaw because the cap sleeves are too small to fall comfortably or stand over natural shoulders. I liked the fabric and fit but hated how awkward my shoulders looked, I’ll pass…

Lilly Blue and Tony (the tiger)

Hi guys, I usually focus my blog on fashion or my retail adventures, however today I wanted to share with you some pictures of the kittens I am fostering. Many designers are now using cats as their source of inspiration but in reality many people discard their feline companions every year. Our economic environment has also affected our pets and many shelters and rescue groups are full with dogs and cats in need of a good home and a loving family.

I am currently taking care of four kittens and a mom cat.  The kittens were feral but I have finally managed to socialize them, I am working with several rescue groups to find these little ones a home.  Before you head out this upcoming week to shop for designer shoes and clothes at FNO, remember that a small donation of $10 or $20 can feed a homeless animal for a week.  Before you purchase a dog or a cat, take into consideration the countless animals that are healthy and available at local shelters and rescue groups.

Vivienne Westwood, opened her new exhibition at Selfridges in London featuring 200 pairs of shoes designed through out her career. The collection features an array of unique pieces that were showcased in the Paris runways and the infamous 10 inch platforms that landed Naomi Campbell flat on her butt! Check out the amazing pieces and I have to admit, Vivienne Westwood looks great in her sexy slit dress, the exhibition will run from August 26th through September 22th 2010, if you’re in the U.K. you can’t miss this awesome showcase.

The 69-year-old Westwood fondly recalls one of her first shoe purchases in the 1950s, a pair of stilettos from a shop in Manchester which she wore to school, earning her a less than approving comment from her teacher, using her maiden name: “‘Vivienne Swire, if God had intended us to walk on pins he would have given them to us.’” source AP

The collections will be available in Target stores and on Target.com this fall – Tucker and John Derian hit stores in September, while Mulberry will be in stores in October.

• Charlotte Russe is getting a well needed make-over, the retail team has decided to give Charlotte Russe stores a chic new look that will enhance the buyer’s experience with a grown-up trendy boutique feel. I think it’s about time Charlotte Russe stores had a face-lift, I didn’t like digging through random sections of clothes and accessories, what do you guys think of the new change?

The goal of the changes is to attract a larger audience of shoppers aged 15 to 29 years old, compared with the previous core demographic of 15- to 18-year-old girls. Charlotte Russe’s teen-oriented fits often haven’t been appropriate for young adults, but have been adjusted to appeal to a wider spectrum of people in an age-spanning psychographic of fashion coveting shoppers that can’t always afford designer wares.

“We had her [young adult customers] coming in, but she was not always finding what fits her,” Ming said. “Today, so many teens shop older and many older [customers] shop younger.
